Today’s guest is Claudia Steer. Claudia immigrated to the United States from London when she was just a teenager. Coming from what would be similar to the projects over in London, Claudia grew up with a scarcity mindset that impacted her life for many years.
She took the long road to the corporate world but eventually landed a job where she earned 10 years of experience developing creative strategies for some of the largest brands in the world, including McDonald’s, Coke Zero, Burger King and New Balance.
However, the corporate world just wasn’t cutting it for Claudia. She decided to leave in order to start a freelance career. Now, she’s hard at work building her freelance career while also turning her focus to the world of interior design. There are exciting things coming in Claudia’s future including in her finances.
Claudia admits that a lack of financial literacy caused her to make some poor financial decisions throughout her life. But, now she has a plan and is working hard to straighten out her finances.

Investopedia defines financial literacy as, “the education and understanding of various financial areas including topics related to managing personal finance, money and investing.” But, I want to stress to you that you don’t have to become an expert in the world of finances in order to succeed.
Claudia shared with us that earlier this year she invested some of her time and money into meeting with someone that helped her develop a plan for her finances. I believe it’s important that you know what you’re doing with your finances and why, but it’s ok to have someone else help you out. We can’t do all things and know all things so it’s important that we admit what we don’t know and find someone that does
